Dr. Joshua Cohen

Dr. Joshua D. Cohen is a board-certified refractive surgeon providing LASIK/PRK, advanced cataract and refractive lens exchange, and corneal surgery for patients in Boca Raton and surrounding communities. A Boca Raton native, he grew up around Cohen Laser & Vision Center and is proud to now practice alongside his father, continuing the center’s tradition of compassionate, state-of-the-art care. Dr. Cohen welcomes both routine vision correction consultations and thoughtful second opinions for more complex cases, with a clear, patient-first communication style.Dr. Cohen studied Environmental Science and Public Policy at Harvard University and spent two years teaching at Pine Crest School before earning his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he served as class president and graduated with honors in research. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia, including a year as chief resident, gaining additional experience with advanced cataract techniques and glaucoma procedures. Outside the clinic he enjoys the arts, Florida’s outdoors, and a friendly tennis rivalry that keeps family matches competitive.
