Dr. Anup Kubal

Dr. Anup Kubal is a board-certified ophthalmologist recognized by his peers, having been listed in Newsweek’s America’s Best Ophthalmologists 2021. He brings a wide range of experience to the Aker Kasten surgical team, combining a cheerful, kind, and warm demeanor with exquisite surgical skills.

Dr. Kubal is committed to providing his patients with the safest and most technologically advanced surgical options available. He has extensive experience with femtosecond laser cataract surgery and advanced technology premium lens implants, designed to provide a more natural range of vision without glasses. He also specializes in the latest glaucoma procedures for lowering intraocular pressure, often performed in conjunction with cataract surgery.

Having completed his fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Dr. Kubal has served as a distinguished faculty member at the University of Florida, where he was the Director of Refractive Surgery Service and Director of Medical Student Education in Ophthalmology. He holds memberships in several professional societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
