Dr. Alan Aker

Dr. Alan B. Aker is an ophthalmologist and co-founder and Medical Director of Aker Kasten Eye Center in Boca Raton, Florida. He offers comprehensive eye care with expertise in cataract surgery, EVO ICL, glaucoma management, astigmatism treatment, retina care, laser procedures, refractive lens exchange, and dry eye treatment. Dr. Aker is dedicated to helping patients improve their vision through both medical and surgical approaches.

Throughout his career, Dr. Aker has been actively involved in advancing ophthalmic care. He has participated in FDA studies and lectured extensively at major meetings including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has authored many articles and book chapters on laser refractive surgery, laser cataract surgery, and advanced technology intraocular lenses. Dr. Aker served as President of the American College of Eye Surgeons and its certifying board, and as Chief Medical Editor of Ophthalmology Management journal. He was recognized in Newsweek's America's Best Ophthalmologists 2021 as #1 in Florida.
