About Me
Dr. Joseph P. Calderone is an ophthalmologist and the founder of Better Vision New Jersey, formerly Cranford Ophthalmology. He has built a practice centered on advanced eye care and was the first in New Jersey to offer the Lipiflow Thermal Pulsation System for dry eye treatment. Dr. Calderone is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds a medical degree from Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School, following undergraduate studies in chemistry at the College of the Holy Cross. He completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College and an internship at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Calderone also serves as a clinical instructor and assistant professor, contributing to the education of future physicians.
He provides comprehensive eye care to patients, with particular expertise in diagnosing and managing dry eye disease. He treats a range of conditions including cataracts, floaters, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, blepharitis, and eye infections. Dr. Calderone utilizes state-of-the-art technology to deliver precise diagnoses and effective treatments, helping patients maintain clear vision and eye health.
