Dr. Jonathan Minkowski

Dr. Jonathan S. Minkowski is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon who provides advanced surgical and medical care for corneal and ocular surface disease. He graduated cum laude from Skidmore College, earned his MD at Rush Medical College (AOA), and completed internship and ophthalmology residency at Rush University Medical Center, serving as co-chief resident. He then completed fellowship training in Cornea, Cataract, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at Eye Consultants of Atlanta, Piedmont Hospital.

Dr. Minkowski offers a full range of procedures, including laser vision correction, refractive lens exchange, complex cataract surgery with premium lens options, and partial- and full-thickness corneal transplantation. He is known for patient-centered communication, careful surgical planning, and a results-focused approach that emphasizes safety and visual quality. Outside the operating room he contributes to professional meetings and community outreach, and he enjoys time with family and the outdoors.
