Dr. Jonathan Solomon

Dr. Jonathan Solomon is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in laser cataract and refractive surgery. He treats a wide range of eye conditions including keratoconus, corneal ectasia, myopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. He is actively involved in clinical research and works with leading manufacturers of surgical equipment to advance precision surgical techniques.

Dr. Solomon is the Chief of Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland, Capital Regional Surgery Center and co-founder of the Bowie Vision Institute for Applied Studies. He has pioneered approaches such as the Callisto guidance system and uses 3D surgical guidance to optimize outcomes for presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses and toric lenses. For patients who are not candidates for LASIK, he offers Visian ICL implantation to achieve spectacle freedom.

Dr. Solomon is also a Fellow of several professional societies and serves as a clinical instructor and fellowship preceptor at the UMD School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology. He is committed to educating the next generation of refractive and corneal surgeons.
