Dr. John Foster

Dr. Brian Foster is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is passionate about improving his patients' vision and quality of life. He serves as Medical Director of Updegraff Laser Vision and sees patients at Updegraff Laser Vision and The Eye Associates, specializing in laser cataract surgery, clear lens replacement, LASIK, and implantable collamer lenses (ICL). With extensive experience, he has performed tens of thousands of eye surgeries and actively participates in clinical trials for advanced intraocular lenses, corneal disease, and dry eye treatments.

Dr. Foster completed his medical degree and internship at Emory University School of Medicine, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University and a cornea and external disease fellowship at Eye Consultants of Atlanta. He is dedicated to teaching, serving as a clinical instructor at Wake Forest University and an adjunct clinical professor at Lake Erie College of Medicine, where he trains medical students, residents, and fellows. He also regularly travels to Central America to perform sight-restoring cataract surgery and corneal transplantation for underserved populations.
