About Me

Dr. John Cason is a world-recognized leader and specialist in cornea, ocular surface disease, and refractive surgery. A 22-year veteran of the United States Navy, he specializes in advanced refractive surgery techniques on multiple lasers, including SMILE, LASIK, PRK, ICLs, refractive lens exchanges, cataract surgery, and presbyopia correction. He performs the full spectrum of advanced cornea transplantation and complex anterior segment repair to meet all needs of the cornea, lens, and ocular surface.

Dr. Cason is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Cornea Society. He is an accomplished lecturer and clinical researcher with multiple publications and has served as an article reviewer for peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Dr. Cason enjoys spending his leisure time with his wife and three children mountain biking, hiking, playing golf, and jamming on the guitar.
