Dr. Joel Chasan

Dr. Joel Chasan is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced training in retinal disease. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rhodes College, earned his medical degree at Emory University - School of Medicine, and also completed his ophthalmology residency at Emory. He then pursued fellowship training in retina at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Dr. Chasan focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the retina and vitreous, with an emphasis on protecting vision and helping patients understand their options. He cares for patients with concerns such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, flashes and floaters, macular disorders, retinal tears and detachment, retinal vascular occlusions, central serous retinopathy, and uveitis. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
