Dr. Jessica Cao

Dr. Jessica Cao is a vitreoretinal surgeon who treats both urgent and long-term retinal conditions with steady communication and thoughtful care. She explains imaging and options in everyday language, helping patients weigh office-based treatments such as injections and lasers versus surgery. Her goal is to protect sight while keeping recovery as smooth as possible.

Dr. Cao completed ophthalmology residency and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute after earning her MD from the Keck School of Medicine of USC and a BS from UCLA. She sees patients across The Retina Partners’ Los Angeles area locations and participates in clinical research to bring current techniques into the clinic. She welcomes referrals for macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal tears and detachment, and other complex retinal disorders.
