About Me
Dr. Jessica Kovarik is a pediatric ophthalmologist dedicated to treating eye disorders in children and adolescents. She employs both medical and surgical techniques to address various conditions, with a strong belief that patient understanding fosters successful communication and partnership with parents, leading to effective treatment outcomes.
Her expertise covers strabismus (eye muscle disorders), amblyopia (lazy eye), retinopathy of prematurity, childhood cataracts and glaucoma, ptosis (droopy eyelids), nasolacrimal duct obstructions (blocked tear ducts), and ocular injuries. Dr. Kovarik is committed to providing comprehensive care for young patients, focusing on improving their vision and eye health through tailored treatment plans.
After completing her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Indiana University Medical Center, Dr. Kovarik returned to Southwest Florida to serve the local community. She is board certified in ophthalmology and actively practices at the SWFL Children’s Charities Eye Center, where she accepts new patients.
