About Me
Dr. Jesse Smith is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. He cares for adults with conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein and artery occlusions, retinal detachment, macular hole, and epiretinal membrane. When surgery is needed, he offers advanced techniques including pars plana vitrectomy, scleral buckling, and targeted retinal laser treatments. Dr. Smith is committed to clear communication and collaborative decision-making so each patient understands their diagnosis and options.In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Smith’s interests include improving treatments for diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration. He provides care in both English and Spanish and welcomes referrals for second opinions on complex retinal problems.
