Dr. James Luu

Dr. James Luu is a fellowship-trained retina specialist at Retina Consultants of Southern Colorado in Colorado Springs. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of vitreous and retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane, uveitis, and retinal vascular diseases.

Dr. Luu received his medical degree from New York Medical College, completed an internship at UCLA, an ophthalmology residency at Stanford University, and a fellowship in retinal diseases at the National Retina Institute in Baltimore. Dr. Luu has been practicing in Colorado Springs since 2003. He is board certified and a diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Retina Specialists. He has participated in clinical trials and published research in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the advancement of retina care.
