About Me
Dr. Jagger Crawford Koerner is a pediatric ophthalmologist who specializes in treating a variety of eye conditions in children and adults with strabismus, or eye misalignment. His practice encompasses common pediatric issues such as amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus, ptosis (droopy eyelid), blocked tear ducts, and cataracts, providing comprehensive care for young patients.
In addition to clinical care, Dr. Koerner is actively involved in research aimed at reducing the risk of infection following ocular surgery. He explores alternatives to antibiotics to improve postoperative outcomes. As an Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, he contributes to medical education and advances in pediatric ophthalmology.
Dr. Koerner provides in-person visits at multiple Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist locations and accepts new patients, offering expert care for all ages in a supportive environment.
