Dr. Isa Sayyeed Karim Mohammed is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine. As Director of Refractive Surgery and an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, he offers the full spectrum of laser vision correction and advanced cataract options alongside care for complex corneal disease. His practice combines precise diagnostics with individualized surgical planning to help patients achieve clear, comfortable vision.
Dr. Mohammed performs complex cataract surgery and a range of corneal transplant techniques, including PK, DALK, DSAEK, and DMEK. He also offers LASIK, PRK, and implantable collamer lenses for suitable candidates. His research focuses on optimizing refractive outcomes and using anterior segment OCT to identify eyes at risk for ectasia.
He earned his MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and a cornea/external disease and refractive surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
