About Me
Dr. Everardo Hernández-Quintela, MD, MSc is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. He provides comprehensive care for corneal disease, ocular surface disorders, and vision correction, offering both laser refractive surgery and advanced keratoplasty techniques. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as medical director for Wilmer’s Patient Access Center and is active in device development and confocal microscopy research.
Dr. Hernández-Quintela completed ophthalmology residency at the Asociación para Evitar la Ceguera en México in Mexico City and fellowship training at Massachusetts Eye and Ear (Harvard Medical School) and at Hôtel-Dieu in Paris. He also holds a Master of Science from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
