Dr. Henry Alvarez

Dr. Henry Alvarez is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing comprehensive eye care for adults in the South Miami area. He is affiliated with Baptist Hospital of Miami, Doctors Hospital, Homestead Hospital, and South Miami Hospital. Dr. Alvarez offers a full range of ophthalmology services, including routine eye exams, diagnosis and management of eye diseases, and surgical interventions.

Dr. Alvarez completed his medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 1980, followed by an internal medicine internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado Denver. He has been certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1988. He is fluent in English and Spanish and sees adult patients of all ages.
