Dr. Gagan Sawhney is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery and the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, from early disease through complex cases. He focuses on thorough evaluation and tailored treatment plans that balance long-term vision protection with patients’ day-to-day needs.

His clinical expertise includes evaluating patients who are suspicious for glaucoma, performing laser procedures for glaucoma, and managing coexisting cataracts and glaucoma. He also offers a full range of glaucoma surgery, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), trabeculectomy, and glaucoma drainage device implantation, selecting the approach that best matches a patient’s anatomy and goals.

Dr. Sawhney completed his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine and completed both ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship training at the Emory Eye Center.
