Dr. Fong Yee Foo

Dr. Foo Fong Yee is a Senior Consultant in Ophthalmology with extensive training and expertise. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the National University of Singapore in 2002 and attained her Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2006. She further completed an American Association for Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus-accredited clinical and surgical fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, Dr. Foo served as a Senior Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and was the Immediate Past Head of the Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Service. She continues as a Visiting Consultant to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She is actively involved in medical education as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Senior Clinical Lecturer, and has received teaching awards for her contributions.

Dr. Foo’s clinical practice encompasses general and comprehensive ophthalmology, including adult cataract surgery with implantation of premium intra-ocular lenses to correct astigmatism and presbyopia. She specializes in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, managing conditions such as strabismus, diplopia, childhood myopia control, refractive errors, amblyopia, allergic eye diseases, eyelid infections, and childhood cataracts. She provides eye screening and specialized care for both adults and children at Raffles Eye Centre.
