Dr. Ellen Sanders

Dr. Ellen Sanders is an ophthalmologist at Aspen Valley Health, where she joined in 2023. She specializes in cataract surgery, including premium lens procedures, and treats conditions such as dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Dr. Sanders focuses on providing cutting-edge care to ensure optimal outcomes for her patients.

She completed her medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2004 and remained there for her internship and residency in ophthalmology. In 2008, she received the Wake Forest Resident Research Award for her work on corneal intraepithelial neoplasia. Dr. Sanders spent a decade in private practice in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she was recognized for her excellent bedside manner. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
