Meet Dr. Ella Leung
About Me
Dr. Ella Leung is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who treats a wide range of retinal and macular conditions with both medical management and advanced microsurgery. She is known for a thoughtful, patient-centered style—taking time to explain what is happening in the eye, what treatment can achieve, and how to protect vision over the long term.
Dr. Leung completed her undergraduate and medical training at the University of Miami, then went on to ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. She completed vitreoretinal fellowship training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and previously served on faculty at Baylor College of Medicine, teaching residents and fellows. Dr. Leung is active in research and has published and presented on retinal disease and surgical techniques. She also volunteers through medical reserve and service efforts and is committed to compassionate care for every patient.
