About Me
Dr. J. Timothy Stout is a retina specialist who provides care for patients with pediatric vitreoretinal diseases and inherited retinal disorders. He brings extensive experience in both clinical and research settings, with a particular focus on gene and stem cell therapy for conditions such as retinal dystrophies and other genetic eye diseases.
Dr. Stout serves as Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and Director of the Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor College of Medicine. His research interests include human gene and cell-based therapy for proliferative and inherited ocular disease, as well as retinal disease genotype-phenotype correlation and ocular disease gene mapping and discovery.
