About Me
Dr. Diane K. Fiander is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreoretinal specialist with Associated Retinal Consultants, caring for patients across northern Michigan. She diagnoses and treats complex retinal and macular diseases and partners closely with patients to protect vision and preserve independence.
Her areas of focus include diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, macular holes, retinal detachment, retinal tears, and retinal vein occlusion. Dr. Fiander earned a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and an MS in Nutrition from Columbia University's Institute of Human Nutrition. She received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University, completed ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute, and completed a Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the Retina Institute of California.
She has participated in clinical research and has co-authored peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations.
