Dr. Douglas Covert

Dr. Douglas Covert is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who serves patients in Northern Michigan. He specializes in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery, treating conditions affecting the retina and vitreous. Dr. Covert completed his medical degree with distinction at the University of North Carolina and earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan. He underwent internship, residency, and fellowship training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Covert is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists, and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals.
