Dr. David Dao is a dual-fellowship trained ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis. Raised in Maryland, Dr. Dao completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and VA Maryland Health Care System before subspecialty training in uveitis and ocular immunology at the National Eye Institute, followed by a two-year surgical retina fellowship at the University of Chicago. His research has explored how diet and the microbiome may influence retinal and inflammatory eye conditions, and he has presented work at national meetings.
