About Me
Daniel Aviv Brill, M.D. is a dual-fellowship trained specialist in vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis at the Elman Retina Group. He provides comprehensive care for complex retinal conditions such as retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, macular holes, and uveitis.
Dr. Brill earned his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Health System, Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in uveitis and ocular immunology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School, followed by a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Cincinnati Eye Institute and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists, and the American Uveitis Society. Outside of his practice, Dr. Brill enjoys long-distance running and has volunteered in several countries.
