Dr. David Gibson

Dr. David Gibson is an ophthalmologist at Beach Eye Care in Virginia Beach, caring for adults and families with a wide range of medical and surgical eye needs. After completing his undergraduate studies magna cum laude at Randolph-Macon College, he earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, graduating in 2021. He then moved to New York for his internship and ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in his final year and developed a strong interest in refractive and cataract surgery.

During training, Dr. Gibson completed additional courses and rotations in refractive surgery, continued specialized education through the Alcon Experience Academy, and co-authored multiple publications in ophthalmology and vision science. He is active in professional organizations including the Refractive Surgery Alliance Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Gibson enjoys partnering with patients to explain their diagnoses, discuss advanced surgical options, and create personalized treatment plans that match their goals and lifestyle.
