About Me
Dr. Dawnielle J. Kerner is a board-certified ophthalmologist at TPMG Ophthalmology Center in Virginia Beach, VA, with over 20 years of clinical experience. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University and received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in ophthalmology. Following residency, Dr. Kerner pursued additional specialized training in glaucoma at Stanford University.
Dr. Kerner provides advanced, patient-centered care for a wide range of eye conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye syndrome, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, corneal disease, and uveitis. She sees patients 12 years of age and older and also treats younger patients with congenital glaucoma. Dr. Kerner believes in treating through open communication and trusted relationships. She serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and Assistant Program Director for the Ophthalmology Residency Program at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS).
