Dr. Collin Ohning

Dr. Collin R. Ohning is a retina specialist dedicated to diagnosing and treating medical and surgical diseases of the vitreous and retina. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, completed internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida, and pursued fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Retina Group of Washington/Georgetown University. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Ohning was born in Charleston, South Carolina and moved to Greenville over two decades ago. He attended Kenyon College where he was a collegiate Academic All-American swimmer. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, he studied at the Medical University of South Carolina for his medical degree.

Dr. Ohning is glad to be back in South Carolina serving the Upstate. He cares for patients with both common and complex retinal conditions and believes that clear explanations, advanced imaging, and precise, minimally invasive techniques lead to the best outcomes. When not working, he enjoys golf, basketball, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
