About Me
Dr. Ethan Sobol believes that preserving and restoring vision carries a tremendous responsibility, which he does not take lightly. He is grateful for the opportunity to continuously earn the trust of his patients and families. He strives to provide high-quality care that focuses on the individual, with an emphasis on helping patients understand their condition and the available treatment options.
Dr. Sobol is an ophthalmologist, retina specialist, and vitreoretinal surgeon at The Retina Group of Washington. He also serves as an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Georgetown School of Medicine, where he teaches medical students, resident physicians, and fellows. His clinical focus includes the treatment of medical and surgical retinal conditions in both adult and pediatric patients. He completed his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine and is actively involved in clinical trials at the Retina Group of Washington. Dr. Sobol is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
