About Me
Dr. Colette M. Jackson is a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist who cares for children and adults with strabismus as well as a wide range of pediatric eye conditions. A Mississippi native, she completed her undergraduate degree with honors at Vanderbilt University and earned her medical degree with honors from the University of Mississippi. After an internship in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, she finished ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern and advanced fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Storm Eye Institute at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Jackson treats amblyopia, congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction, pediatric cataracts and glaucoma, and retinopathy of prematurity, and offers eye muscle surgery when needed. She partners closely with families to explain diagnoses, outline treatment choices, and design age-appropriate care plans that fit school and home life. Patients and parents appreciate her steady communication style and her focus on long-term visual development, binocular alignment, and practical goals for everyday activities.
