About Me
Dr. Clayton Kirk is a board-certified retina and vitreous specialist providing comprehensive eye care for patients in the Rock Island and Bettendorf areas. He focuses on managing complex retinal conditions including diabetic eye diseases, macular degeneration, and conditions requiring advanced vitreoretinal surgery. Dr. Kirk completed his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Associated Retina Consultants in Phoenix and his ophthalmology residency at Loyola University Medical Center.
As an active researcher and published author, Dr. Kirk has contributed to scientific understanding of retinal diseases, dry eye disease after LASIK, neuroprotective effects in retinal injury, and lax eyelid syndrome. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists, and has received recognition including the MAGIS Star award from Loyola University Medical Center and the Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Stamm Ophthalmology Award. Dr. Kirk has also participated in international eye mission trips, serving as a surgical assistant for numerous cataract and pterygium surgeries.
