Nicole Somani, MD, MPH, is a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellow at the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal and vitreous disorders. Her clinical expertise encompasses conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and retinal vascular occlusions, providing patients with advanced medical and surgical care to preserve and restore vision.
With a Master of Public Health degree, Dr. Somani integrates a population health perspective into her practice, ensuring comprehensive and preventative eye care strategies. She is committed to delivering patient-centered treatments, utilizing the latest technologies and evidence-based approaches to manage eye diseases effectively.
