Dr. Chris Watts

Dr. Chris Watts is an ophthalmologist and owner of Eye Physicians and Surgeons in Iowa City. He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle and completed his residency in eye surgery at the University of Iowa. Dr. Watts joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons in 2012 and became a partner in 2014, helping to expand the practice into a regional leader in eye care and surgery.

Dr. Watts believes in building trusting relationships with patients and is committed to providing high-quality care with the latest technology and a skilled team. He takes pride in the practice's growth, including the addition of a Mount Pleasant location in 2017, and in bringing new doctors and services to the region.

His clinical interests include comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, macular degeneration and injections, diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma. Dr. Watts provides surgical and medical treatments for these conditions, aiming for excellent outcomes and patient confidence.
