Dr. Carl Sylvester

Dr. Carl L. Sylvester is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience in cataract surgery and laser vision correction. As one of only a few fellowship-trained refractive surgeons in Oklahoma, he has performed thousands of LASIK, PRK, ICL, and cataract procedures using the latest intraocular lens implants to correct astigmatism and near vision.

Dr. Sylvester provides general ophthalmology services including dilated eye exams and medical management of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and eye infections. His fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery gives him additional expertise in corneal diseases including keratoconus, Fuchs' dystrophy, and corneal infections. He utilizes advanced technology like 100% bladeless LASIK and modern cataract surgery techniques to help patients achieve their best possible vision.

Dr. Sylvester earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University, and a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the Sinskey Eye Institute. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
