About Me
Dr. Carl Awh is a vitreoretinal specialist at Tennessee Retina in Nashville. He completed advanced fellowship training at the Duke University Eye Center and previously served as an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins University. Since 1994, he has been providing retinal care to patients in the Nashville area.
Dr. Awh’s special interests include macular surgery and macular degeneration. He treats a wide range of vitreoretinal conditions and is dedicated to advancing surgical techniques through his involvement in clinical research and device innovation. He has been an active investigator in multiple clinical trials and holds numerous patents for retinal surgical devices.
Dr. Awh is committed to patient education and has lectured internationally. He has been recognized by his peers and professional organizations for his contributions to the field of retina.
