Dr. Ben Harvey

Dr. Ben J. Harvey is a glaucoma specialist and clinical associate professor at the Dean McGee Eye Institute and the University of Oklahoma Department of Ophthalmology. He focuses on building relationships with his patients and helping them maintain their vision and improve their quality of life. Dr. Harvey joined the glaucoma service in March 2019.

Dr. Harvey earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Texas Tech University, where he graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Dean McGee Eye Institute and then pursued a glaucoma fellowship at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Florida.

Active in the ophthalmologic community, Dr. Harvey served as president of the Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology from 2017 to 2020 and completed the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Leadership Development Program. He has been recognized as an influential leader under the age of 40 by both the Oklahoma Gazette and Oklahoma Magazine.
