Dr. Athanasios Marneris

Dr. Marneris is an ophthalmologist who cares for patients with cataracts and complex eye conditions, including inflammatory and corneal disorders. His clinical work includes cataract surgery and evaluation and treatment of uveitis, with attention to how inflammation can affect vision and long-term eye health.

He completed undergraduate studies at Loyola University, attended medical school at Midwestern University, and finished ophthalmology residency training at Michigan State University. Dr. Marneris pursued fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco, with a focus on corneal disease and uveitis. He was also recognized with the Patrick Murray Award for his contribution to recovery efforts at Oakland University.
