About Me
Dr. Thomas John is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Clinical Associate Professor at Loyola University Chicago. He is in private practice in the Chicago suburbs of Tinley Park and Oak Lawn, Illinois. Dr. John specializes in cornea and external disease and is recognized as a world leader in lamellar corneal surgery. He completed his medical education at St. John's Medical College and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a clinical cornea fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. John provides a comprehensive range of eye care services, including LASIK and other refractive surgeries, no-stitch cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens implants, corneal transplantation (including no-stitch techniques and DSAEK), glaucoma surgery, and amniotic membrane transplantation. He is known for his innovative surgical techniques and dedication to teaching other surgeons.
