Raised in the Philadelphia area, she studied Biology and Medical Anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis, graduating magna cum laude before earning her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, where she was inducted into the Hobart Amory Hare Medical Honors Society. She went on to complete a transitional year internship at Crozer Chester Medical Center followed by an ophthalmology residency at the renowned Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Solarte provides comprehensive eye care and advanced cataract surgery, drawing on her strong academic and clinical background to guide patients through diagnosis and treatment. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and has contributed to the medical literature through research publications and national presentations. Passionate about global eye health, Dr. Solarte founded a college chapter of a global health organization and has participated in medical mission trips to Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ghana, and Belize, where she performed vision-restoring manual small incision cataract surgery. Outside of medicine, she enjoys painting, hiking, skiing, traveling, and cheering for Philadelphia sports teams.

Dr. Russell J. Marchese is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon at Coastal Jersey Eye Center.
