Dr. Subhashini Chandrasekaran

Dr. Subhashini Chandrasekaran is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cataract and refractive surgeon dedicated to advanced, patient-centered eye care. She incorporates modern technologies such as microincisional instrumentation, intraoperative aberrometry, femtosecond laser assistance, and 3D surgical visualization to enhance precision and recovery. Her background in biomedical engineering and commitment to research inform a thoughtful, individualized approach for each patient.

Dr. Chandrasekaran graduated magna cum laude in Biomedical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and earned her MD at New Jersey Medical School. She completed a transitional year at Overlook Hospital, ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, and a cataract and refractive surgery fellowship at the Eye Institute of West Florida under nationally recognized mentors. She is fluent in English and Tamil and conversational in Spanish, helping her connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
