Dr. Arjun Sood

Dr. Arjun B. Sood is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical retina. His clinical focus includes the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular holes, and epiretinal membranes. Trained at top institutions, he completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in 2020, an ocular immunology and uveitis fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary in 2018, and an ophthalmology residency at Emory University School of Medicine in 2017.

He is an active member of professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the American Uveitis Society. Dr. Sood is frequently invited to lecture at national and international meetings and serves as an investigator in over 40 clinical trials. His research contributions include authoring and co-authoring more than 45 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and abstracts.

On a personal note, Dr. Sood was born in Buffalo, New York. He is married to Dr. Monica Vielkind, a pediatric pulmonologist, and they have two children. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, and golf, and is a fan of the Buffalo Bills.
