About Me

Dr. Anvesh Annadanam is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. He performs a wide range of cornea transplant surgeries, including PKP, DMEK, and DSEK, as well as refractive procedures such as LASIK, PRK, ICL, and RLE. He also provides routine and complex cataract surgery and comprehensive eye care for patients.

Dr. Annadanam earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan's Kellogg Eye Center, where he received the Michigan Ophthalmology Trainee Career Development Award to study global eye care delivery at the Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, India, and earned a Certificate in Global Health Equity. He then completed a fellowship in cornea transplant and refractive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic's Cole Eye Institute.

Dr. Annadanam has advanced the field through numerous publications in areas such as cornea and cataract surgery techniques, social determinants of health in corneal disease, and the use of artificial intelligence in surgical training. He has presented at the annual conferences of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society. He was also featured on the medical education podcast "Eyes for Ears" discussing bull's-eye maculopathy.
