Dr. Shazia Ahmed is a board-certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and refractive surgery at Arlington Eye Center. She provides comprehensive care for conditions such as ocular surface disease, cataracts, and corneal disorders, performing advanced procedures including complex cataract surgery, laser vision correction, and corneal transplantation.
Dr. Ahmed earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed her ophthalmology residency at Tufts Medical Center, followed by a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Washingtonian.
