About Me
Dr. Lorena Sepsakos is a board-certified ophthalmologist, cornea specialist, and experienced cataract surgeon. She has numerous publications and has presented in many conferences for her research in the field of ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and Tau Beta Pi honors society.
Dr. Sepsakos received her undergraduate education from Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where she graduated at the top of her class. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Medstar Georgetown University Hospital Center and had the honor of being named chief resident. After residency, she completed her medical fellowship at the prestigious Cincinnati Eye Institute.
Dr. Sepsakos is a skilled corneal and cataract surgeon who brings a personalized approach to help patients achieve their best vision after surgery. She also treats a spectrum of complex eye diseases including keratoconus, Fuchs’ dystrophy, limbal stem cell deficiency, herpetic eye disease, conjunctival tumors, dry eye disease and pterygia. In her free time, Dr. Sepsakos enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, leading an active lifestyle, and exploring the DMV.
