Dr. Andrew Strand

Dr. Joel Chasan is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced training in retinal disease. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rhodes College, earned his medical degree at Emory University - School of Medicine, and also completed his ophthalmology residency at Emory. He then pursued fellowship training in retina at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Chasan focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the retina and vitreous, with an emphasis on protecting vision and helping patients understand their options. He cares for patients with concerns such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, flashes and floaters, macular disorders, retinal tears and detachment, retinal vascular occlusions, central serous retinopathy, and uveitis. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Dr. Ahmar Sajjad is an ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at Eye Surgeons of Indiana. He provides comprehensive, patient-centered care with particular expertise in advanced cataract procedures, refractive lens options, corneal transplantation, and modern treatments for dry eye disease. Patients value his clear explanations, thoughtful guidance, and focus on safety, comfort, and reliable visual outcomes. Dr. Sajjad earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. He returned to Baylor for ophthalmology residency, where he pursued research, contributed to publications, and served as chief resident. He then completed cornea fellowship training at the University of Illinois in Chicago. A member of Alpha Omega Alpha and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he stays current with evolving techniques—including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery when appropriate—to tailor plans that fit each person’s goals and daily life.

Dr. Alice C. Jiang is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon who blends precision microsurgery with a warm, collaborative approach. She focuses on restoring clarity and comfort for patients with corneal disease and on helping people see their best—often with advanced intraocular lens options to reduce glasses dependence after cataract surgery. In every visit, she aims to educate patients, answer questions thoroughly, and choose a plan that matches their goals and lifestyle. Her interests include complex anterior segment reconstruction, intraocular lens exchange, and management of challenging surgical scenarios. Dr. Jiang completed ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by a fellowship in complex anterior segment, cornea, and refractive surgery at the Masket Foundation in Los Angeles. She earned her MD at Case Western Reserve University and holds undergraduate and master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University. She enjoys caring for a diverse patient community and is comfortable conversing in multiple languages.
