Dr. Joseph Christenbury is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cornea care and surgery, external eye diseases, refractive (LASIK) procedures, and cataract surgery. He earned both his undergraduate degree and medical degree at Duke University, then completed internship training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Christenbury completed ophthalmology residency training at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute and pursued fellowship training at Eye Consultants of Atlanta. He joined Eye Consultants of Atlanta in 2018 and cares for patients across multiple Atlanta-area locations. In addition to clinical care, he has contributed to the field through peer-reviewed publications, textbook work, and presentations at national meetings. Dr. Colton McCoy is a fellowship-trained cornea and external disease specialist who provides advanced medical and surgical care for diseases of the cornea and ocular surface. He also offers cataract care for patients with complex corneal conditions, working to maximize both the clarity of the cornea and overall visual quality. Dr. McCoy received his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine, then completed ophthalmology residency at Emory University School of Medicine. He went on to fellowship training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, focusing on corneal and external disease. His background includes experience with modern corneal transplantation techniques, management of corneal infections and scarring, and care for challenging ocular surface disorders. Dr. McCoy emphasizes personalized treatment plans, careful explanation of options, and close follow-up in partnership with referring optometrists and primary eye care providers. His goal is to restore and preserve sight for patients with some of the most complex corneal problems.

Dr. Soroosh Behshad is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. His practice spans femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery with advanced lens options, complex corneal transplantation, and vision-correcting procedures such as LASIK, PRK, and ICL implantation. He also cares for challenging ocular surface disease and dry eye, and manages keratoconus with modern collagen crosslinking techniques. Patients value his calm manner, thorough counseling, and focus on achieving excellent visual outcomes. Dr. Behshad earned his MD at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency at Tulane University, where he served as chief resident. He then completed fellowship training in cornea, refractive, and anterior segment surgery at the University of California, Irvine. He also holds a master’s degree in public health policy and healthcare management from the University of Arizona. Active in global ophthalmology, he has helped develop sustainable eye-care programs and train surgeons internationally, work for which he was recognized by the Kingdom of Jordan in 2020. His clinical interests include innovative corneal surgery, advanced cataract techniques, and management of complex lens complications.
