About Me
Dr. Amir Yazdanyar is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon at Retina Group of New England, specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal disorders. He provides care for conditions affecting the retina and macula, offering advanced treatment options.
Dr. Yazdanyar earned his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology and completed his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of California, Davis. Before joining Retina Group of New England, he served as Director of the Retina Service at SUNY Upstate Medical Center. He has been involved in numerous research projects and has published peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, and has presented nationally and internationally. His contributions have been recognized with several awards, including the Raymond R. Margherio Award.
