Dr. Allen Gu

Allen Gu, MD, is an ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who treats medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. His practice includes care for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachment, macular holes and puckers, and posterior vitreous detachment. Dr. Gu completed ophthalmology residency at LSU Health Shreveport, where he served as chief resident, followed by a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Midwest Retina in Columbus, Ohio. He is board certified and active in national retina societies.
