Dr. Alison Early

Dr. Alison Dzwonczyk Early is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract and refractive surgeon at Pajka Eye Center, practicing since 2018. She grew up in Avon Lake, Ohio and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biopsychology. She then attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University Havener Eye Institute, where she performed hundreds of procedures including cataract and laser eye surgeries.

Dr. Early is an active speaker and key opinion leader in ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and serves on the AAO Membership Advisory Committee and Online Education Committee. She is often invited to speak at national conferences, including the AAO annual meeting and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Early has contributed written works to many ophthalmology publications and serves as a Senior Editor for Ophthalmology Business Minute magazine. She is also recognized as a leader and mentor to young ophthalmologists and trainees.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Early performs all forms of cataract, refractive, and vision correction surgery. This includes using advanced technology intraocular lenses for cataracts, minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery, and laser refractive surgery such as LASIK and PRK. She also offers implantable collamer lens surgery for patients with myopia and astigmatism. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children, often outdoors and prioritizing family dinners.
